Mobile Living Labs: Bringing Science Across Our School

Help me give my students explore hands-on science through our whole-school Mobile Living Labs program with a sturdy rolling cart for organizing, transporting, and safely storing aquarium, hydroponics, and STEM investigation materials.

My Project

Our students across K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and high school are curious, creative, and excited when science becomes hands-on, visible, and connected to real-world problems. They learn best when they can observe living systems, collect data, ask questions, test ideas, and see how science connects to their daily lives and future careers.

This project is part of our whole-school Mobile Living Labs initiative, The goal is to bring authentic science experiences beyond one classroom and make inquiry-based STEM learning accessible to more students throughout the school.

The rolling cart will help us organize, transport, and safely store materials for aquarium studies, hydroponics, environmental monitoring, life science investigations, physical science activities, and STEM exploration. By creating mobile lab carts for different grade bands, teachers can bring age-appropriate science investigations directly to students, supporting collaboration, curiosity, and a stronger school-wide science culture.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
