I work in a Title I school that just started an instrumental music program last year. This is our second year with a school band and my students love coming to class to play their instruments. For many, this is the highlight of their day. Their joy and excitement always brightens my day. Most of these students would not have the opportunity to play an instrument if it were not for our program.
As our performing arts program builds, we have the need to acquire additional equipment to push our program to the next level.
The mixer and cables would be used to connect speakers, connect an app from a computer to run sound and record in class, run two keyboards and a microphone. With this equipment, it opens up many more possibilities to expand what our program is capable of. Students will also learn new skills as they learn how technology and music can be integrated.
