My students need to have the opportunity to work with quality. These two mixers would benefit them immensely. We currently have little handheld mixers and they get very hard to use for certain batters.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a smaller public Charter school, which offers Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, and Graphic Design. We are an innovative school that wants to give students the opportunities to expand their creativity in the classroom. The students benefit from hands-on experiences. These four majors really have a positive effective on our urban school. They are eager to learn and have a willingness to bring out what they have to offer. Our majors reflect our population and what they want to do when they get older. We have a strong, outspoken, determined group of students.

To "follow your heart" is our motto.

The students have this opportunity to be themselves and expand outside the box with their creations. We, as educators, constantly promote positivity in the classroom and throughout the community. The students created a full Thanksgiving meal this past November. To have better quality materials, it would benefit the students more efficiently throughout the school day.

My Project

These materials would help my students tremendously. For what the students have to mix batters and make different Culinary creations, our little handheld mixers sometimes don't make the appropriate textures. These beautiful mixers would be so worth it! We would be able to do so much more! Since I have 40 minutes in class, the students have a certain amount of time and with the mixers it would be more efficient.

We would appreciate these mixers so much!

I think the students would even be more excited to use such quality! We would make different cakes, cupcakes, and different delicate pastries! It would also be beneficial for my Sauces, Stocks, & Meat Cutting class too for bread pudding and other recipes that required heavy duty mixing!
