Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Cooking and baking require teamwork. They encourage students to delegate tasks. Using these cooking appliances will introduce students to essential techniques and life skills, such as baking, mixing, and measuring. Our school community will see how food is grown with our hydroponics tower garden and then transferred onto their plate where they get to eat and drink their creations.
This project is aimed at spreading acts of kindness to our lower grade students.
Our fifth grade students will be making smoothies and cookies for the lower grade students. They will also work on activities about compassion that will help cultivate an emotionally safe environment and ease the way students are feeling. It will also teach valuable lessons about empathy, generosity, and helping others. Acts of kindness can make the world a happier place for everyone. With everything that's going on in the world, now is the time to help make a kinder society. Thank you for your support.
