Mission: Survival on the Moon!

Help me give my students the opportunity to represent not only New York, but America, as one of only 60 out of 20,000 First Lego League Jr teams at the World Festival!

My Students

Were you into sports and dance as a child, or were you like my children and love all things science and computers? These little 4th graders are so eager to work on their Lego Robotics projects that they come before school to get more time! They have learned to work as a team, and always make sure to have fun at the same time!

Gracious professionalism, and "coopertition" guide these children as they live out the core values of teamwork, inclusion, discovery, innovation, impact and FUN!

Each new challenge motivates them, rather than discouraging them! They love to put together all of their ideas to best represent all of them.

My Project

Students will travel to a different state to represent not only their own state, but their country! While they demonstrate what they've learned, and how they've creatively solved the problem of how to survive on the moon, they will also meet and learn from other students from all around the world!

They will learn that they live in a truly global community, far bigger than their own little town!

As they bring this experience back home with them, it will alter every decision they make in life due to consideration of others! They will be models and mentors for other children, teaching them about the world outside their town!
