Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Mission Possible: College! This is our 1st grade classroom theme! My first graders are going to be immersed in college readiness this year. Reading is the pathway to college. If my students can read they can learn anything and succeed in college. In order to read they need many books to practice!

My students are 1st graders in Texas who love to learn.

They are ready for college and are excited about learning many opportunities about going to college. At my school my students are considered "scholars" and they are expected to act that way. They are held to high expectations because they CAN succeed our high expectations!

My Project

These books will change the lives of my students because they will fall in love with reading. They will fall in love with learning from reading. With all these books they will have a great opportunity to learn from books and make the connection that if they can read they can learn anything. Then, if they can learn anything they can make it to college and succeed in their futures!

This donation of many engaging books for 1st graders will provide an opportunity my students would not have otherwise.

Please consider helping my 1st grade college all-stars have the opportunity to fall in love with reading.
