Mirror, Mirror...Poetry Books for 8th Graders

My students need books which use a variety of rich text which kids can understand and be able to use in their writings.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students today enjoy books that use rich colors to illustrate their meanings and message and the books selected for these project do just that perfectly.

My students are great kids whose parents are struggling financially to make ends meet but make sacrifices so that their children can receive a better way of life than they received.

About 98% of my students come from low-income families and more than 90% of their parents did not finish grammar school in their native lands.

My Project

The various books in this project have been carefully selected by myself that are written specifically for middle school students and cover many themes which many of them can relate to.....friendship, being different, language barriers, and just surviving middle school.

Remember being in middle school and going through some crazy "mood swings?" My students are going through that transition and these books "talk" directly to my students.

I hope you will consider supporting my project and help me enrich my students' vocabulary forever.
