My Project

My students are actively engaged in the mathematics that they learn. They can relate what they are learning to a real-world context, and are able to apply the material they learn once they are outside of the classroom. They are especially enthused when they get to experience games and competitions of any kind within the classroom.

These materials will allow me to create exciting Minute to Win It mathematical challenges that engage students as they apply the concepts they are learning to real-world contexts.

Minute to Win It is a class favorite! Students ask regularly to play and are able to solve word problems with an extra element of fun and competition.

The blindfolds, egg flippers, balloons, washers, and pom poms will allow me to add additional games to our Minute to Win It library of challenges.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
