My Project

I would like to create a hygiene closet for students on the 6th-grade floor to provide them access to essential hygiene supplies. As students grow and experience puberty, their bodies undergo significant changes. They may encounter unfamiliar smells and bodily fluids, and unfortunately, they often lack the resources to address these changes.

Due to the stigma surrounding the need for assistance, as well as the potential for bullying when students are not presenting or smelling their best, may discourage them from asking for help.

This embarrassment can lead to a reluctance to attend school, making it difficult for them to actively participate in their education, which impacts their overall well-being.

I would like to foster a supportive environment by creating discreet access to hygiene products for students who may be struggling. Items like deodorant, menstrual products, wipes, and toothbrush kits can make a significant difference in boosting self-esteem and confidence, ultimately helping to improve attendance rates and nurturing a positive school experience. Every student deserves to feel comfortable and confident as they grow and learn.
