This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students from Fresno come from a low-income area and some come from very plain homes. I want them to feel joy when they come into our classroom because their homes may not be decorated. They love seeing bright colors in the classroom and being able to make themselves comfortable while they work.

The students I have are truly kind-hearted and are almost always looking out for one another.

The students have a need to have fun to learn, don't let them be bored!

My Project

I make an effort to put science into the classroom setting despite not having a set curriculum. Though I have found some great sets at thrift stores, I still can only offer my students so much on my own. I want to make sure my kids have access to scientific discovery and exploration and for that, they need the right tools. By donating to my project you will help them explore the world of science and maybe even be a part of inspiring a scientist in the making. Every kid deserves to be exposed to more than reading and math.
