My Project

My students are an amazing group of kindergarten to second graders who are learning in a self-contained classroom. They all receive special education supports and services. All students learn differently and express themselves in unique ways.

One connection we can all make is through movement expressions and mindfulness.

Students will have an opportunity to grow their flexibility, balance, strength and positive mindset through the use of yoga mats, books and activity cards.

Social emotional development is an important component in learning and teaching. By taking what they learn on the mat, my students will be better prepared to focus on learning, respond to emotions in a productive way and build resilience to any obstacles that they encounter.
