Help me give my students interactive, play-based math tools to become mini mathematicians!

My Students

My group of students are young learners! They are between the ages of 4 and 5 years old. They are attending the preschool program to prepare for their Kindergarten year. My young learners are curious, playful, and love school!

My students attend a Title I school, meaning most of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project

These tools and resources will help my young learners create their learning foundation! The materials will be present in my classroom for use by my 16 students. Materials will be placed in clear containers. The containers are kept on shelves according to their topic (math, science, literacy, etc.). This presentation creates open ended, student led play. Students can interact with the tools and resources independently, with a small group, or with a teacher. The new materials will allow my students to foster their curiosity while fulfilling their need to play.
