My Students

Our school is located in the middle of a very diverse community. We are fortunate to have students from Vietnam, Korea, Nigeria, and Mexico, as well as native-born Americans. We make a good mix. Our socioeconomic makeup includes everything from Section 8 housing to $300,000 homes.

At school, we come together to share our stories, our cultures, and our experiences.

We grow together and we learn from each other. This is where we learn to appreciate our similarities and our differences. We are family!

My Project

Fact: Movement increases blood flow to the brain. Fact: Children learn best when they are comfortable and have a choice. In my flexible seating classroom, I try to provide opportunities for students to move throughout the day and find their "perfect fit" learning space.

Wobble chairs will give students that need movement a place in my classroom to comfortably sit while working.

Your donation will increase my students choice in my flexible seating classroom. I can't change the curriculum, but I can provide opportunities for students to find a comfortable space that accommodates their need to move. It's okay to wiggle while you work.
