My Students

Our school focuses on the 6Cs—collaboration, creativity, character, citizenship, communication, and critical thinking. This year, I will have to use my critical thinking to help my twenty-six 2nd-grade students use these 6Cs daily while navigating the new normal. Even with the challenges of the last couple of years, my students are excited to learn and grow! They are problem-solvers, creators, and learners.

My 2nd-grade students are readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, engineers, historians, artists, musicians, and friends.

They are amazing!

My Project

The resources I am requesting will help my students with their social-emotional and academic learning. Many of my students have anxiety coming to school; the weighted stuffed animals will help them feel safe at school and in the classroom. The legos will give students a creative way to express their thoughts and feelings. The Crayola markers and colored pencils will help students draw and write out their feelings after we do our Monday Mindfulness activities. The games will help students talk about their feelings in a fun and relaxed way.
