Hello, Hola, xin chào, Hallå, سلام, Kamusta, Olá, ہیلو, and welcome to this Charles Schwab Foundation-inspired project for financial literacy materials that benefit energetic and enthusiastic students who represent many languages.
These loving children attend a high poverty, inland school in a state that is number one in prison spending and number 41 in education spending.
Though we have neither counselors nor teachers for music, art, P.E., the library, or computers, our deserving students benefit from an attentive, caring staff, and a "village" of generous supporters. We hope you will join us.
My Project
With topics such as "Dollars and Cents," "Needs and Wants," and "Saving and Spending," BrainPOP Jr. educates young students in the basics of a complex topic--financial literacy--using simple language. The folk tale characters in the requested anthologies encourage them to develop perseverance, the delay of gratification, and problem solving skills. To express their responses to the videos and books, they'll use the colored pencils made ready by the sharpener. The cribbage boards encourage mental math practice and the cooking materials and wipes complete a previously funded proposal the goal of which was to show students how nutritious, delicious, and economical home cooking can be. "Skinnarmarink," a lovely song to share and sing, is a result of succumbing to click-bait, or a lesson in frugality and how to resist temptation.
