We are a Title 1 School and a majority minority school and team. We are looking to improve but we do not have the budget or the size of many of our competitors. Rather than complain we just work harder!! My team does not have the crazy amount of travel ball players on it that play all summer so to compete we just outwork them in the offseason to try to improve and get better. I have three items on this list.
First, the timer.
We will use the timer to improve the speed of the runners and to get ready defensively for the speed of our competition. It allows a countdown timer to "put them on the clock", so to speak to speed them up in practice to ensure they are ready for the speed of the game!
Second, the whiteboard. I will install the whiteboard in the dugout for messages and lineups and it also is magnetic so I can post items on there as well.
Third, the socks. We are going to do a pink out game this season to raise money for cancer. Last year, the girls purchased pink shirts which we will use for jerseys for that game and the socks will look great of the girls for that game as well! If you look great you play great!
