Middle School Survival: Boys, It's Cold Outside!

Help me give my students jackets to help keep them warm during the winter months!

My Project

We have an on-campus clothes closet where students can come get shoes or other items of clothing as needed. We will also take students' clothing and launder anything that may need washing. For those students in need, we provide clothing for each season, as well as undergarments, coats, and hygiene kits.

We are in need of jackets for both girls and boys to help restock our supply so that we can help our students be comfortable, confident, and successful in the classroom.

When students' basic needs are met, students are able to focus on learning; clothing is one of those basic needs that can truly make a difference for students, especially in middle school. Many of our students don't have enough clothes and as a result, wear the same clothes over multiple days.

When middle school students wear the same clothes over multiple days, they are dirty and smelly, causing the students to be self-conscious or avoided or made fun of by other students. By providing those students in need with the clothes on this list, we are able to meet a basic need and help them feel more confident and ready to learn.
