Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an amazing group of 100 students with 30 of those students being creative minds and G.T. What I love most about my students is how much they are willing to engage with the content being presented to them and how driven they are to ask questions and learn. They are very dedicated and hungry for knowledge as well as they are very caring for each other and look out for each other.

I feel as though this year after the pandemic has been the best year, while also the most challenging.

The best has been seeing how much they have missed being back with their friends and making those friendships. The most challenging has been how the last two years of the pandemic has affected them.

Creating these amazing stations, I have in mind with the tools I will hopefully get through DonorsChoose will keep this bunch motivated, engaged and most importantly happy in class. All while also seeing hope in action, knowing others are rooting for them as I am. The Merriam-Webster’s Student Atlas well be implemented during group work/group projects, as well as during our centers time. The Interactive LeapFrog Magic Adventures World Globe will be used during centers and will serve as a foundation for students excitement to participate in centers and connecting to their World. The flashcards, board games and interactive puzzles will be implemented into our centers for high student engagement and group collaboration while learning about the US and our World, the inflatable globes will be used during our group/projects and lessons hooks and warmups, the Geotoys — GeoBingo World and GeoBingo USA Board Game Set, I plan to implement especially on Fridays after my students have completed their Performance Assessment along with popcorn as an inventive to do well.
