Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create a safe space for my 8th graders to work collaboratively in a bistro-style corner with high chairs and tables. My students are eager to learn and work together and I know having an option to sit anywhere besides their standard desks will create excitement to sit "at the cafe" as part of our class incentive program!

My goal is for students to work towards participating in class, completing homework and classwork assignments, and putting forth more effort to study for tests to earn Spartan Bucks, which they can trade in for "cafe seating" with their friends during class time.

This will increase not just their learning but also create a culture of collaboration in the classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
