I am the fortunate teacher of a group of 21 inquisitive third graders. Our school is located in a high need, high poverty district.

My classroom budget is very small. Out of that allocation I had to buy supplies and books. Now mid year I am running low on basic supplies. Budgets have long been frozen and I do not want to borrow from other teachers who are limited in their supplies. I buy what I can, but it's getting expensive. I waited midyear to order Weekly Reader but no longer have the budget money to order it.

Pencils, markers, and glue are tools my class uses everyday. I do not want to have to cut back on the projects we do because our supplies are running out. My students enjoy receiving the Weekly Reader because it is filled with kid friendly articles and encourages reading.

With your generous donations I will continue to provide my students with the tools necessary to finish out the school year. New supplies will allow me to complete projects and keep the learning momentum going.
