Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We've arrived to the middle of the school year some class supplies are running low, and some students have identified reading topics that are of interest. My students have worked on a number of projects this year including class and individual science fair projects, math presentations, and social studies investigations. In addition to completing projects, some of my students started out the year as reluctant readers, but have recently found great joy in reading mini-biographies and books about geography.

My students are engaged in a hands-on classroom setting that encourages growth in their learning.

My students need fresh nonfiction books, like the Little People Big World series and the All About series, that continue to nurture their reading interests. My students also need materials like chart paper, glue sticks, and construction paper to continue to be engaged in hands-on learning projects. With the help of these materials my students will be able to meet reading goals as well as complete projects as they work towards meeting end-of-the-year standards.

With the help of donors like you my students will have a successful second half of the school year.
