I currently teach a 6th grade Structured English Immersion (SEI) class in California. I work with a vibrant group of sixth graders, many of which come from non-English speaking homes. My students come to school each day excited to share their ideas grow as critical thinkers, and participate in group learning activities. As part of the transition to the Common Core Standards and incorporating 21st century skills into everyday curriculum, I regularly integrate technology and the arts into my lessons. I look forward to a well-rounded school year and seeing my students succeed academically.
