I have great agriculture students in my Agriculture Mechanics and Animal Science classes. These students are hard workers and involved in the community in that we have helped with several other projects that have helped individual farmers and fellow students. These projects have helped strengthen are relationship with the people of our community and beyond.
Our students enjoy doing these projects because they are learning lifelong skills and are learning how to serve others in this process.
It is important for these students to continue to work hard for others as they understand they will reap rewards from the community. This is what will make the community proud that they are contributing members to our home town.
My Project
Our student learners need these materials to help up build roll over protection systems for older tractors in our community. We have been assisted in this endeavor by the University of Kentucky and now are making several more to help the many farmers that have these older tractors. We want to help prevent injury in the event one of the tractors might turn over.
These student learners will get quality working skills using this equipment while learning how to work with metal.
We are helping our community and learning specific skills that can lead to future jobs. This is a win win situation within the classroom and community.
