Mental Health-Small Way to Help Students With Yoga
Help me give my students a relaxing and safe place to de-stress from the stress they have been carrying especially with the pandemic. The Yoga club will help them to be more focused on their goals.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am currently teaching to high school students in Queens, New York. My students come from monolingual families and unfortunately, do not have the opportunity to join a yoga class outside of the classroom. I am supervising the yoga club, which is managed by the students. The president of the club prepares the lesson for each class. My students are eager to find a way to learn how to relax and learn how to manage stress.
Although most of my students come from low-income families, they are constantly striving for a better future.
They are competitive, enthusiastic, and compassionate. They spend hours working within the school and the community to succeed academically and to improve their neighborhoods. Learning how to manage their stress during this time of their life will help them accomplish their goals. The materials that I am requesting will provide them with the opportunity to practice their skills learned in the yoga club.
My Project
These materials are going to be used in the club and in their home. The yoga mats are essential for them to do meditation exercises. The oils will help the students meditate and relax easier and inspire them to be in a relaxing environment.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus; you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and they will learn strategies on how to relax for life when they are under a lot of stress.
