Help me give my students positive rewards for engaging in mental health education and social-emotional learning to improve school and community culture.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Each week, I deliver tier 1 social-emotional learning (SEL) instruction to middle school health classes. These classes contain 130 students total. The purpose of these sessions is to improve school culture through education about mental health, emotional regulation, and social inclusion.
My students are curious and excited about learning skills to better themselves.
I enjoy being able to reward them simply for trying and engaging in the content. Rewards are an encouraging tool to keep them motivated. Given the number of students and frequency of the groups, it is becoming harder to keep up with the demand of candy. Your donation will allow their hard work and positive behavior to be acknowledged. Any help is greatly appreciated!
