Men's Soccer Team In Need of Uniforms and Equipment
My students need new uniforms and additional equipment, like water bottles, a cooler, and a ball bag, in order to play this season.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How would you feel if you were a student in a small charter school in its second year of sports programs and you had no team uniform?
The boys soccer team, in their first year last year, went undefeated, overcame enormous obstacles, and has grown to become leaders both on and off the field for our school.
These young men are some of our hardest working students, and their soccer skills are an absolute source of pride for our small school. Many of the young men on the team cannot afford to buy uniforms, new equipment, or other necessary items that will help them to be successful throughout the year. They work very hard for everything that they and their families have, and they are a true inspiration to our staff and families of our community.
My Project
The items that have been requested will allow the young men to have adequate practice equipment. We currently have five soccer balls, four of which are borrowed from the after school program. We play in the park by our school, as we have no field or gym at our school location. We have no goals that we can use during practice and no common shirts to wear during practice. Having common practice outfits, tee shirts, and warm-ups and additional equipment like water bottles, a cooler, and a ball bag will be one more way that I can help to make this group of young men feel like a team. The boys will be able to use these materials to play both practice and games this year.
With common equipment and their tenacity to put in 100% effort every day, these boys will be able to do amazing things.
These boys deserve the best opportunity that they can get. They work so hard on and off of the field, and these items will be one more thing that will help to propel them towards college, leadership, and a successful life. Whatever you can donate will be such a help - thank you in advance!
