My students and atheletes attend High School at a Charter School in CA. This is a low income (Title 1) neighborhood where families are working hard to make the next generations' lives easier. My students in my classroom and in the classrooms I co-teach have disabilities such as auditory and visual processing, emotional disturbance, ADHD and fine/motor disabilities. Most of my athletes do not have learning disabilities, but all of them come from a disadvantaged background. All of my students and athletes work hard to overcome the disabilities and/or disadvantages that they were born and/or raised with. They are fun loving, hard working and positive students who deserve the same opportunities as other students at this school as well as all students around the world.
