This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a Title I school that has a school culture rich with diversity. Even with many personal setbacks, our students have risen to meet every expectation. They work hard and because of them, we were able to become an AVID Demonstration School!

My students are AVID scholars, athletes, club members, friends, leaders, journalists, artists, and so much more.

They inspire me to show up to work and give my best everyday.

My students are worth it.

My Project

As we progress into better photography for our journalism program we are in need of some larger capacity memory cards. We currently only have small capacity ones I have donated.

There is nothing sadder when students come and say they had to stop taking pictures mid-event because their memory card was full!

These are moments we can't recreate as the school year unfolds. In order to get as many students and events captured to document, we need to be able to store many photos while out in the field. Students will be able to use these memory cards in order to capture more of each event throughout the year.
