My Project

After teaching Kindergarten for 8 years, I have been promoted to second grade! It will be a new adventure and I am looking forward to different opportunities and learning with my students. As such, I am in need of content specific teaching aides and manipulatives.

Students learn best when they are actively engaged in their content and take ownership of their learning.

The students I will have the privilege to teach are from an underserved community, with a large population that are receiving free and reduced lunch. It is my intention to bring exciting learning opportunities to my students so that they are actively engaged.

These items will include magnetic place value charts, clocks, and money, as well as center activities to extend individual learning and practice. I also need to build up my classroom library to include chapter books and themes that include my new content standards.
