For many of my students, this is their first year in a structured academic setting. Some need more development in the social-emotional skills that are developed through purposeful play activities. These materials will give them the opportunity to practice positive peer interaction skills through sharing and taking turns, while enabling them to think creatively and develop their fine motor abilities. The interactive play provided by these materials will be an invaluable educational experience for my students. With many of their experiences being digital, it is important for young learners to practice positive social skills and manipulating tangible objects that provide creative outlets.
