The students who participate in my after school and summer program are enthusiastic about learning meditation techniques. Some of these young humans suffer from stress management, focus, and emotion regulation. However, they are dedicated to practicing mindfulness in order to decrease these stressful sensations.
My students have clear intentions and much compassion!
They strive to have a better understanding of the ways that mind, body, and soul can work harmoniously together. A sense of curiosity and wonder about their own thoughts, emotions, and body sensations lies within each of my students.
I would like to create a calm and welcoming meditation space for my students. This would be a space in which students may practice yoga and mindfulness. This will encourage my students to regulate their emotions in a healthy way. This space would most definitely have a positive impact on behavior and learning.
To create this space, we need comfortable pillows that students may use when they are feeling stressed or upset.
The inspiring decor will create a calming and relaxing atmosphere, one in which students will be able to breathe and focus comfortably. Decor inspired by nature will remind students of their connection with the universe.
