Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and excited to explore everything our media center has to offer. I love watching them discover new books, learn new technology skills, create projects, and find new ways to express themselves. I want our media center to be a welcoming space where every student feels encouraged to read, learn, create, and explore.

These materials will help make our media center more functional, engaging, and student-centered.

A printer will allow us to create learning materials, research resources, activities, and student projects. Computer speakers will improve our technology-based lessons, read-alouds, videos, and other multimedia learning experiences. Sharpies will give students durable art supplies for creative projects, posters, displays, and hands-on activities. A bulletin board will provide a dedicated space to celebrate student work, promote new books, share library information, and create interactive displays that encourage students to participate in the life of our media center.

Together, these resources will help transform everyday library lessons into more engaging experiences and give my students more opportunities to learn, create, and feel that the media center truly belongs to them.
