I teach at a school with an incredibly diverse population. We are over 50% Hispanic, with a large population that identifies as either Asian, Turkish, Pakistani, Syrian, Persian, Polish, Egyptian, or another minority ethnicity. We have over 50% of our students who speak a different language at home and over 50% of our population is on free/reduced-price lunch.
I am also a mentor for our FIRST Mid-Atlantic Robotics Team 3314, The Mechanical Mustangs.
I am in charge of our business plan and our judged awards, along with two other business mentors. Each season, we have to write an extensive business plan and present our findings to the judges. We also need to create a Chairman's essay and video to show all about our community service and efforts to promote STEM. The FIRST Robotics Team is composed of 75 members who are as diverse as our school population, with 40 new members this season.
My high school robotics team would like to create a digital story about our team, The Mechanical Mustangs. As part of the story, we would like to include some soft plush horses in the scenes. We have chosen 3 different types of horses to be included. We will take these horses with us as we go to the elementary schools and visit. They will be given cute names in our story and we will be using them in our storybook we would like to create about STEM.
We also need labels; we have bins of stuff for our films and team and we need to keep everything organized.
Surprisingly, 16 ft of nylon cloth Brady labels do not go a long way, so we are requesting 2 of these sets of labels for our team. We can also use these labels if we need to put names on things for our viewers, like pneumatics, motors, gears, etc.
Thank you so much for supporting our team and our desire to create STEM videos.
