Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the best ways to learn is through hands-on experiences and the five senses. Through cooking and baking, children learn math skills with adding, subtracting, and measurement, chemistry with the mixing of ingredients, cause and effect, and the power of taste.

I would like to have measuring spoons, measuring cups, bowls, bags, and utensils to make learning easier, tastier, and more fun.

Currently, I use the materials from my home. The children take turns with my limited supply. By having a number of bowls and measuring tools, I can set up four tables and each table will have the materials they need to mix, measure, and work together at the same time. It is more efficient, smoother teaching, and exciting for the children to work together as their peers do the same. They will each have more opportunities to measure, mix, blend, and make exciting recipes.
