Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach students who receive Intensive Resource services. Many of my students are learning disabled, developmentally delayed, speech-language impaired, intellectually disabled, or other health impaired.

My students receive specialized and explicit instruction in a small group setting.

The frequency and duration of services vary according to the specific needs of each student. Each and every one of them are special and unique. I am truly lucky to work with such caring, kind and smart students who strive to do and be their very best!

My Project

My students are at varying levels in Mathematics. Some are working on a Pre-K level while others are on a Grade 3 level in Mathematics.

Having the math numbers and counting kits will allow me to challenge my kindergarten and first grade learners.

Additionally, having multiplication activities will also allow me to reinforce fourth grade skills through targeted small group instruction.

Having the number matching game, number recognition and counting kits, Pop to 20 game, addition and multiplication activities will allow my students to work on numeracy skills which will build the foundation for financial literacy skills.

Teaching financial literacy at the Kindergarten level allows children to keep building on their skills year after year to be financially savvy and able to become financially responsible young adults in later grades.
