My Project

We would like to expand our classroom STEM tools to help us explore and strengthen our engineering, mathematical, and scientific understanding of forces, motion, and simple machines. We are going to do this through hands-on play throughout our Physical Science unit. Physics, at its core, revolves around observing, experimenting, and interacting with the physical world.

Hands-on activities bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, offering students a tangible way to explore complex ideas.

If this project is funded we will receive large wooden building blocks, a marble track set, and some tools to make simple machines. Playing with blocks helps children use physical skills as they are lifting, building, and moving blocks around and use math skills as they are counting, matching, sorting, grouping, adding, subtracting, and noticing weight and length. As we add the wheels, pullies, and marbles they will expand this learning to understanding forces, motion, and simple machines.
