My fourth grade students are inquisitive, risk takers, determined, and enthusiastic. Their ideas, passion, and knowledge are truly inspiring. The students have a willingness to share and communicate with their peers that is a positive asset in the classroom.
My students walk into the class every morning knowing that they can rise to the challenges presented to them through hard work and perseverance.
The students are a diverse group of learners. They are encouraged to learn and grow at their own speed to become capable and confident learners.
My Project
My students need colorful pencils to be academically successful both in the classroom and at home. The students receive a pencil every Monday morning and must be responsible for the pencil throughout the course of the week. The students are also given pencils every month to take home for homework. The fun, motivational, and holiday-themed pencils create a weekly Monday morning surprise. They never know what kind of pencil they will see on their desk when they enter the classroom. The students are always excited to see something fun. It is wonderful to see how something so small and simple could be so much fun.
