Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class of 3- to 4-year-old students is a creative, inquisitive, smart, energetic class of preschoolers! My classroom is made up of students with special needs who range from being nonverbal to being autistic.

My fun class amazes me every day.

Their ability to learn and retain academic knowledge is unreal. They inspire me to come up with new learning activities to help them to reach their fullest potential.

They love to learn about new things. They love to build and create. They love to look and ask many questions about things they have seen. Our school is one of the largest urban school districts in my state. All of the students attending our district receive free lunch. My students deserve the best of the best.

My Project

Help me give my students hands-on math activities to be used daily in our centers! These materials will be used to teach students aged 3-5, while also being engaging and holding their interest. The materials will be used to teach students: counting, patterning, sorting, shapes, colors, and numbers. These are hands-on materials that help promote math through play at such a young age. I think it's important to start young when teaching students these standards to help set them up for success before Kindergarten! Thank you so much!
