Help me give my students Fire 7 Tablets with Alexa, 7" Display, and 8 GB so that they will have access to different resources/programs that will help them be successful academically.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager, creative, and ready to learn! They arrive to school each day with renewed minds and willingness to learn. I enjoy watching my students collaborate with each other and complete culminating tasks that require them to use different methods of thinking. They come to school each day with the mindset that every day is a new day. They are willing to take risks and confront challenges. It's amazing watching their growth academically and behaviorally. I know we should uplift the students, but I think their light is shining on me as well. It's amazing!
One of the challenges my students face is completing assignments due to the fact that they lack access to resources and supplies.
My students have fostered a love for learning, although students have a wide range in their modalities of learning. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies; small group work, preferential seating, and differentiation of content to ensure that all student needs are being met at their functioning level of success. They are truly an amazing bunch, and I am so humble and grateful to have a new group of scholars who are eager and ready to become successful learners.
My Project
The Fire 7 Tablet with Alexa, 7" Display, 8 GB will make a difference in student learning as it will enhance the learning process and make content come alive through the use of technology. Technology brings learning to life. It helps to motivate and stimulate student learning. Students have different modalities of learning. Using this technology will expose students to all spectrums to increase student success.
Having access to technology provides a more comprehensive learning experience catered to their individual student needs.
Students don't always benefit from whole-group instruction, Students need access to manipulatives, and with using technology you never have to worry about not having enough supplies to go around ( manipulatives, pencil, paper, highlighters, etc) because learning is easily accessed with technology.
It would be great that when students enter into the classroom to just begin stimulating minds while teaching a content lesson instead of having to wait for students to find/sharpen pencils or look for lost interactive notebooks. Technology provides this. Now students will be focus more on content. Technology is at the forefront in this present day and age. When technology is utilized in classrooms, I feel that student growth, student learning, and student success will flourish.
