My Students

Turrentine is a very diverse title one school. Over half of our student population receive free or reduced lunch. My students are 6th grade math students. I teach a variety of students from an advanced class to special education inclusion class. I also serve tier III intervention students.

My Project

This year I will be teaching 6th grade math after serving as a math interventionist for the last 4 years. I will have students of all levels including: advanced, EC inclusion, and regular education classes.

Prior to teaching 6th grade-8th grade math intervention I served as an elementary teacher in grades 2-5.

I’m asking for donations to get a Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. Teachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful resource where teachers create engaging, creative lessons for others teachers to buy and use in their classrooms. Since this is my first year teaching 6th grade math I have no resources and would love to purchase some fun, hands on math activities to use in my classroom this school year.
