Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are emergent bilinguals from various countries. They are eager to learn English and math skills.

Working with manipulatives will assist with concept development and keep them motivated.

Working cooperatively with other students will increase language skills and math development. Students learn best from one another and when manipulatives are used. They love using math manipulatives to learn and develop their math skills. Many of my students have not attended school in their home country and need basic math skills developed before they can learn 3rd math grade curriculum.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
