This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love, love, love teaching kindergarten. My favorite thing to do is to engage five and six year olds in learning reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and art! Kinders love to learn!

I love the curiosity of my kindergarten students and their motivation to explore the world and learn amazing new concepts in mathematics!

The materials for this project will be used to have math centers in our classroom. There will be 6 centers with 4-5 students at each center. These materials will be used everyday for 30-45 minutes. The materials include ten frame paddles, ten frame trays, counting trays to 30, and quiet foam dice to create multiple, engaging games! Kinders love hands-on, child-centered activities and these materials will provide them with this opportunity!
