In our math tool kits we need various counters to be able to use to help us solve our problems. In order to keep our tool bags organized we need various size plastic containers for the different size manipulatives. Some will store two sided chips and others will have mini counting bears. If we are using our same and more mats students will use the two sided ships to build the same amount on one side and show more on the other. We will be able to talk about all the different possibilities that students come up with.

The mini storage containers will be used for our morning bins and math centers. Each month they will be filled with different thematic counters to use for counting practice and addition and subtraction.
