I teach a lively bunch of 24 amazing kindergarten students. Our classroom is full of diverse student learners who are eager to learn and explore the world around them. Many students are dual language learners. In kindergarten we learn best from hands on opportunities. Students can be seen manipulating blocks, writing stories, reading books in scoop rockers, and working cooperatively in small groups. In kindergarten we are mathematicians, scientists, readers, inventors, explorers, writers, and friends. Achieve Language Academy is a community of learners built on the beliefs that good schools transform communities; that community is created by shared values and common goals; that all children can learn and achieve; and that education is essential to a fulfilling life. Students at Achieve have the opportunity to learn the Spanish or Hmong language.
