Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Math manipulatives are key in our math tool kits. While my students have many supplies in these tool kitsm one thing I noticed they needed a lot this year was unifix cubes to solve their addition and subtraction facts. By having these at the ready available in their tool kits, students will be able to independently access the math tools they need instead of waiting for me to get them out of the bookcase.

The use of the interactive board is a daily activity in my classroom.

By getting a remote for the board, I no longer have to be stationed at the front of the room by the board to advance slides. I can freely move about the room while I am teaching but also be able to continue to use the interactive board while I am teaching. Also since it has a laser, I will be able to highlight certain important concepts in order to bring students attention too.
