Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first graders are kind, creative and full of energy! I teach at a Title I school where my students come from low income families and face many different challenges. Despite the challenges they may face, they come to school excited and eager to learn!
Using art to enhance math skills is an effective way to engage students and make math concepts more accessible and enjoyable.
This approach allows students to visualize and interact with mathematical ideas in a hands-on, creative manner.
With your generous donation, I will be able to purchase supplemental math resources through Teachers pay Teachers. I know my first graders will love getting to make art and practicing their math skills at the same time!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
