Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors, special education, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach mathematics to three different Seventh grade classes with 30 students in each class. I am a traveling teacher. My students are challenged to adjust to different settings as I teach each of my classes in two to four different rooms weekly.

My students strive to live like leaders.

My students are motivated to succeed. They take pride in their education and work hard to thrive in my math class. We talk like scholars, write like experts, think like innovators, and live like leaders.

My Project

These laptops will help my students to log on to Khan Academy and other math programs for extra help during math class and my after school tutoring class. This will allow me to differentiate instruction for my students and create different points of entry allowing for all students to succeed. It will also allow me to assess their progress and continue to pinpoint their areas of need. These laptops will also help students who do not have laptops at home to type up essays, labs, and do research for all their subjects.

These laptops will allow me to have the ability to differentiate in order to meet the instructional needs of all my students.

I am a traveling teacher so I teach in several different rooms, most of which do not have any laptops. These laptops will help me to provide my students with the resources they need to succeed daily inside and outside of my instructional time with them. Please help my students succeed and strive for success. Help me give my students more opportunities to utilize technology in the classroom to enhance their educational experience.
