Math Rocks!

My students need hands on math tools so that they can better understand the concepts. Many students need to visualize the concept in the real world and by using these resources my students will succeed.

My Students

I work with some amazing children. We are a rural school where a lot of our students have to live without a lot of things.My students are smart, unique, and love to learn.

I love my students like my own children and want to give them the opportunity to learn at their individual learning levels through hands-on lessons that will help to fill the gaps.

So many of my students are hands on learners and need resources to help them succeed.

My Project

The materials are going to be able to help my students visualize the math concepts in the real world, which is important for students to see. Many students like hands on activities because they are able to learn better. I am hoping that with these resources my students will catch on to the concepts needed to be successful and have fun while doing the activities in class. I will be using the activity stations when teaching whole group instruction but I am really wanting to use it to help with intervention for my students that are struggling. Each station is broken up into a particular skill which will help me focus on one skills at a time during inventions. The flash cards will be used to help my students gain fluency on math facts. I am really looking forward to using the hands on kits so that my students can be involved more in their learning. I will use these kits are part of smaller group instruction as well as whole group. The students will be able to work in groups and experience the concepts at their finger tips.
