Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a math support specialist, I work with students and teachers across multiple grade levels, providing targeted math interventions, modeling classroom teaching, and providing professional development. Having a laptop will allow me to work more efficiently and effectively as I move among classrooms throughout the school day.

I will use my laptop to access and analyze i-Ready assessment data to identify students' strengths and areas for growth, create flexible small groups, and design differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.

For example, I can use student data to develop targeted activities focused on multiplication, fractions, place value, and problem-solving skills. I will also create engaging math games, interactive lessons, and hands-on activities that help students build confidence and strengthen their mathematical understanding.

In addition to supporting students, I will use the laptop to collaborate with teachers, model instructional strategies, develop classroom resources, and create meaningful professional development presentations. Having access to a laptop rather than a Chromebook will provide greater flexibility when using instructional programs, creating materials, and managing multiple resources.

Because I support students and teachers throughout the entire school, this laptop will have an impact far beyond one classroom. It will help me provide more personalized instruction, strengthen collaboration with teachers, and create meaningful learning experiences that help students become confident, capable mathematicians.
