Help me give my students the opportunity to increase their fine motor skills as they learn numbers and number sense with the Unlock It! and Nuts About Patterning games.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach a collaborative kindergarten class of about 20 students with a range of backgrounds and disabilities. The majority of the students that attend this school come from low-socioeconomic households and 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students come to school eager to see their classmates and teachers in a safe, fun, and educational environment.
They are sweet, creative, and are eager to learn everyday. It gives me so much joy to know that I can help them build a strong foundation for learning as well as give them an engaging learning experience.
My Project
My students would love strengthen their math brains and fine motor skills with some fun math games. These activities can be independently played by students during small group math centers. Students can play in 15 minute rotations so everyone gets to play, learn, and strengthen their fine motor skills.
Ultimately, using math games will help students across many subject areas, including reading, writing, social skills as well as increasing fine motor skills.
One of these games has a two sided game board so it can be used for identifying letters of the alphabet or counting and identifying numbers.
Students will be completely engaged in learning while having fun at the same time.
